The late Dr. Hume. Dr. Hume, so well and so favourably known throughout this County, has paid the last penalty of life - has gone the way of all flesh. He died on Thursday evening last, after but a week's illness. His loss to the County is much felt and deplored by the inhabitants. His remains were followed to their last resting place on Sunday last by a very large concourse of sorrowing friends, from all parts of the County. As proof of his good standing amongst his professional brethren, no less than 16 medical men, from different sections of the County, were present at the funeral, to pay their last tribute of respect to one in whom they always found a willing counsel in the profession. The Doctor was, perhaps, one of the most successful physicians that has ever practiced in this County. Being of a kind and attentive disposition, he won for himself the good opinion of all with whom he had to do, not only in his profession, but as a private citizen.
